Is rhinoplasty painful?

Most patients describe congestion and pressure rather than pain. Tenderness in the first days is comfortably managed with prescribed pain relief.

Will my nose be packed?

Instead of traditional packing we use soft silicone splints with built-in airways, so you can breathe partly through your nose even in the first days.

Will I look pulled or unnatural?

In the deep-plane approach the lift takes place beneath the skin, so the skin itself is not stretched. The aim is a rested, natural look that keeps your expression.

Is the neck treated in the same operation?

Laxity and bands in the neck are usually treated together with the face, through a small incision under the chin, aiming for a balanced transition from jawline to neck.

Will I be awake during surgery?

Upper-lid surgery is usually done under local anaesthesia with sedation, so the area is numb and you feel calm and drowsy. Lower-lid and combined procedures generally use general anaesthesia.

Will there be scars, and what are the risks?

As with any surgery, blepharoplasty carries risks, which are discussed openly at your consultation. Incisions sit in the lid crease or just below the lashes, so scars usually become hard to notice.
