Overview
PRP uses plasma separated from your own blood — rich in growth factors — and applies it to the scalp. Hair mesotherapy delivers blends of vitamins, minerals and amino acids through micro-injections; both aim to support the hair follicles.
Treatment is planned once the cause of your hair loss is understood. Your hair and scalp are analysed and, where needed, iron, thyroid and vitamin levels are checked; sometimes the right first step is correcting an underlying deficiency.
Sessions are usually given 3–4 times, a month apart, then repeated every few months as your physician advises. Response varies from person to person, so progress is assessed by comparing standardised photographs.
Who is it for?
- Women and men noticing their hair becoming finer or thinner
- People in the early stages of male or female pattern hair loss
- Those who want to support the results of a transplant and their native hair
- Anyone not considering surgery, or not yet suitable for a transplant
- Adults in good general health without a blood or clotting disorder
Techniques & options
01
PRP
A small amount of blood is drawn from your arm and spun to separate platelet-rich plasma, which is applied to thinning areas with fine needles. Everything is completed in a single session.
02
Hair mesotherapy
Blends of vitamins, minerals and amino acids intended to nourish the follicles are delivered into the scalp through micro-injections. It can be planned on its own or alternated with PRP sessions.
03
Exosome therapy
Exosomes, which help cells communicate, are an emerging option being studied for hair loss. Evidence is still limited, so they are suggested only where appropriate and after an open discussion.
How it works
- 1
Online assessment
You share photos of your hair and your medical history; your physician assesses your hair loss and suggests a suitable treatment plan.
- 2
Analysis and tests
At your first visit your hair and scalp are analysed, the necessary blood tests are completed and standardised photos are taken to track progress.
- 3
Session day
A topical anaesthetic cream is applied if needed. With the blood draw, plasma preparation and injections, a session takes 30–60 minutes, and you return to your day afterwards.
- 4
Your series of sessions
Sessions are usually repeated 3–4 times, a month apart. Your coordinator arranges the dates around your travel plans and can combine them with other treatment visits.
- 5
Review and follow-up
After the series, your photos are compared and a maintenance plan is agreed. Online follow-ups continue for 12 months.
Recovery timeline
Session day
Straight after
Mild tenderness, redness or tightness in the scalp may occur and usually settles within a few hours. You return to your day as usual.
Days 1–3
Gentle care
You can usually wash your hair the next day. Intense exercise, saunas and hair colouring wait for the few days your physician recommends.
Months 1–3
Your series
While the monthly sessions continue, some people notice shedding slowing down. Consistency and patience matter most in this phase.
Months 3–6
First review
Standardised photos are compared to assess changes in hair quality and density; the response differs from person to person.
Months 6–12
Maintenance
Depending on your response, top-up sessions every few months aim to maintain the progress you have made.
